Cohort Hub

This page is the ‘go-to’ hub for the Regenerative Futures Fund cohort of capacity-building organisations and collectives. Bookmark it for easy access to the most important information, resources and updates.

Communication

We use online platform Slack to communicate outside of events. The RFF team will use Slack to share important announcements with you, and we encourage you to use it to connect with each other (feel free to share news and opportunities to collaborate). You can also use Slack to ask the RFF team questions (but please check the FAQs first!).

You can send messages in public ‘channels’ or send direct messages to individuals or groups in private chats. We invite you to use Slack before email whenever possible.

How to use Slack

We recommend exploring this quick-start guide to learn how to use Slack - including a 45-second video that covers the basics.

On Slack, you’ll see a list of ‘channels’ in the left sidebar. These are spaces for you to have conversations in. We have set up:

Calendar

  • The Monthly Cohort Calendar shows all events. The colour-coded key tells you which type of event each is. Purple and yellow are not events, but important dates.

  • If you don’t see events in your calendar, message Mairi on Slack.

  • For in-person events at EFI, room numbers may change last-minute. Please check the calendar invitation for the most up-to-date information.

  • Sessions are not recorded. If you missed an event, catch up on meeting minutes and important updates here.

  • Invitations are currently sent through to the end of October.

  • We have an access fund to support you to attend events. Here’s how it works.

Confirm your preference for your proposal submission review date

To help us confirm the proposal timeline, please let us know by Tuesday 14th October if you would prefer to have a proposal review session in December or January. You can let us know by voting on this poll on Slack, or you can message Aala and Mairi on Slack.

RSVP to in-person events

Please RSVP for the following events to give us an idea of who can and cannot make it:

Principles of Working Together

By Monday 6th October: Read the ‘Principles of Working Together’ shaped by the residents panel, and sign on to it through the link (should take 5-10 minutes).

If you are part of a collective, please make sure each organisation signs.

Clusters

Thank you for submitting your cluster rankings. By clustering projects, we can make sure that each resident decision-making panel is trained on themes specific to that cluster (three clusters, with 11+ projects in each cluster, and five residents in each cluster). The residents will then all come together to discuss and make the final decision.

The clusters will not be used for comparison of projects in the decision-making, so please don’t think you are in competition with the others in your cluster (e.g. there is no cap or suggested number of projects to put forward from each cluster).

Take a look below to see which cluster we have placed you in. If you have any questions, please contact Aala and Mairi on Slack or by email.

We invite you to join your cluster channel on Slack. Here’s how to do this.

General FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

If you have a question, please check this list before messaging the team. We’ll keep this list updated. For questions about the proposal, take a look here.

  • To apply to the access fund, message Aala and/or Mairi on Slack or by email sharing what you would like to apply for financial support for (e.g. public transport, childcare costs) and for which event you would like to attend. We will then confirm if the fund can cover this or not. If so, we ask you to make the payment and share the receipt/ticket with us, which we will then use to reimburse you.

  • Here is a list of organisations in the RFF wider network of systems change organisations in Edinburgh.

Have a question?

Ask the RFF team on the #rff_general_questions channel on Slack. You can message Aala and/or Mairi directly if your question is private.

Or, you can ask a question anonymously.
